What Book Has Had The Most Profound Impact On Your Professional Life?

I've proudly sponsored International Women's Day at BGIS for the last several years. This event has gained momentum every year and for a good reason; it is simply the most inspiring experience to meet with and celebrate women in our industry! Each year, I give away books at this event as prizes for attendees. Book prizes from past years include:
- Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg
- The Confidence Code by Katty Kay and Claire Shipman
- Essentialism by Greg McKeown
- Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo
- The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
I'd like to give away book prizes again this year, but instead of picking something myself I'd like to ask for your help. My fellow bookworms, I'd like to know what titles YOU would recommend for this year's featured book. Ideally, I'm looking for books about developing leadership, and titles authored by women are encouraged! What books have inspired you to be a better leader? Do you have a go-to book suggestion you give to others when they're struggling or looking to improve in personal or professional life? Forward your book suggestions to me before February 10th, and I'll include them in the running as potential prizes for event attendees!
The International Women's Day events we hold in March are open to everyone, women and men. I hope to see many of you there; stay tuned for future announcements about BGIS International Women's Day events. You can send me your favourite book titles on LinkedIn or via the contact submission form on this site. Thank you, and I look forward to your recommendations!
